Holiday apartment right by the banks of the Moselle, ideal for enjoying wine and nature

The holiday apartment is in the Wehlen district about 3.5km from the centre of Bernkastel-Kues. It is right by the banks of the Moselle, separated from it only by a road.

This is a detached single-family house with an apartment, with its own separate entrance on the ground floor, with just three steps to the entrance. It has a living room with a breakfast table and a little kitchen (two-ring hob, a fridge, sink and microwave). The bedroom has a double bed. The bathroom provides a shower and WC. Satellite TV is available in the living room.

Outside you can find a terrace with roofing and a veranda with garden furniture. The veranda affords a view of the Moselle and the vineyards of the Sonnenuhr. The site is enclosed. There is a parking space on site. You can park your bicycles in the garage on site.

The owner lives in the same house. Guest wireless Internet access is available.

On the basis of a municipal council resolution of September 2019 it became known now that in the access road Kegelbahnstraße construction work from April 2020 until November 2020 onwards will be carried out. The measure takes about 9 months. The end from the construction work will be communicated immediately after completion. It can lead to disturbance of the driveway (temporary). The construction work also means noise disturbances in the apartment, from Monday until Friday between 7.30 and 16.30 h.

The Moselle cycle path runs right past the house. You can go hiking in the Streuobstwiesen nature reserve and on nearby forest paths. The motto here is: experience and enjoy nature and wine. The nearby tourist centre of Bernkastel-Kues is accessible on foot, by boat, along a cycle path or by car. Attractions in the area are the castle, the old town, the birth house of Nikolaus von Cues with a library and wine shop, and the outdoor pool in the summer. The indoor pool is open in winter. There are also the volcanic landscapes of the Eifel nearby with their crater lakes (maars) and forests for cycling and hiking. In the south there is the Hunsrück with forest and typical shingle mountains. The Roman-Celtic Museum near Morbach/Wederath and the Celtic Village near Bundenbach are excellent places of interest. You can also visit gemstone cutting factories there. It is 40km to the oldest town in Germany, Trier, with the birth house of Karl Marx and many traces of Roman times. You can explore many castles and little wine-growing villages with wine bars and timber-framed houses along the winding Moselle.
