Apartments in a medieval hamlet, surrounded by forests, with a balcony, terrace or private garden
This property is in a quiet location, surrounded by forests, on the edge of the little medieval village of Breglia, 7km from Menaggio.
There are three apartments of different sizes (between 60 and 70 m²) furnished in a rustic style and with all the necessary comfort. Highchairs and cots are available on request. It is also possible to active the gas central heating with an on/off switch in the apartment (charged according to use). Wi-Fi reception is available in all indoor and outdoor areas.
Breglia is a medieval village and the streets are all pedestrian zones: 30 metres from the house there is a place for loading and unloading. There is a private parking space on site, which is fenced, but not roofed or monitored. It is about 150-250 metres from the accommodation. A cart and wheelbarrow are available for transporting bulky or heavy luggage.
On arrival, the owner awaits you to hand over the keys personally. She does not live near the house but is available for any kind of information. All kinds of tourist material, maps or brochures are available in the house.
There is a third apartment of 60m² integrated into a medieval tower, just a few minutes’ walk away (see atraveo property no. 971061).
Breglia is the perfect starting point for exploring the Lakes of Como and Lugano. Hiking and trekking enthusiasts will very much enjoy it here as from Breglia one can access several hiking routes with varied levels of difficulty offering a splendid panorama. Some paths go through the forests and lead to vantage points, springs and other places of historical interest; some also take you to mountain tops from where you can look across mountain chains of the Alps and the three lakes. Only 400 metres away from the house along a picturesque way you will reach the famous spring water of "Chiarella“. A good restaurant – café is just 100 metres away from the apartment. The head chef Enzo offers traditional dishes and homemade sausage specialties.

The apartment is in a quiet setting providing a view towards the medieval village Breglia which is close to Menaggio.
The apartment was renovated in 2010 with consideration of the original forms and materials. The apartment offers a living room with fireplace and a completely equipped kitchen unit. There is also a sofa bed. In the bedroom there is a double bed. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, toilet and hair dryer. There is also a laundry room with washing machine, washbasin, iron and ironing board. The apartment also has a cellar.
The garden is directly in front of the living room with a table, chairs and loungers: perfect for a romantic breakfast. Enjoy the sunrise in front of the mountains!
